🌟 Exciting News for Our K-5 Community! 🌟
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we are thrilled to announce our new intervention program designed to support and enrich our students’ learning experiences! After careful consideration, we have chosen i-Ready Connect as our primary tool for individualized and direct instruction.
Here’s what you can expect:
🔹 Individualized Instruction: i-Ready Connect will provide tailored interventions, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive.
🔹 Engaging Math Start: Each day will kick off with Karate Math and upbeat math fact songs for the first 5 minutes of math intervention. We will also have vibrant posters displayed in classrooms showcasing multiplication facts and tracking visual progress to keep our students motivated!
🔹 Targeted Learning for High Flyers: Those excelling in math will be grouped according to their goals and needs, receiving individualized instruction that aligns with their progression and areas for growth.
🔹 Extended Intervention Time: To maximize our students' learning opportunities, we are dedicating 40 minutes for our math intervention sessions. This will allow us to begin with 5 minutes of Math Facts, followed by a comprehensive 30-minute intervention session, in line with best practices suggested by the program.
We are excited about the potential of this program to enhance our students' learning journeys and look forward to your continued support as we implement these innovative strategies!
Thank you for being a vital part of our school community!

We’ve wrapped up for the semester, and I wanted to thank you for allowing us to visit your school and work with your wonderful students. Our nursing students, most of whom come from larger schools, found the rural school experience very rewarding!
For this semester’s project, the nursing students spent three days at the school. After surveys with students and teachers, they identified two main areas to focus on: mental health and CPR/first aid. They decided to address both by organizing two health fairs.
The first fair focused on mental health, with stations on yoga and breathing, coloring, journaling, and cognitive training. Thanks to donations from local businesses, each student received a notebook and pen for journaling.
The second fair covered bystander CPR and first aid with stations on compression-only CPR, wound care, and breathing interventions.
The ORR students were engaged and participated fully in both fairs. It was a pleasure working with such a great group, and I’ve attached some photos.
Thank you for this opportunity – we hope to continue working with you!
Best,
Jeannie
